Servicing & Tuning

An annual service, often accompanied by an MOT test, is essential for keeping your classic car in top condition. Our servicing is traditional and thorough. We use the original service specification to ensure that, for example, all grease nipples are re-greased, drum brakes are cleaned and adjusted properly, points-and-condenser ignition system are adjusted correctly and multiple carburettors are rebalanced correctly.

Even if your classic is exempt from having an MOT test, it's a good idea to have one anyway. This gives you documentary proof that it was in good sound roadworthy condition at the time of the test. Why would you need this?

Well, should an accident befall your precious car, insurance companies will always inspect the roadworthiness of it. This is a standard procedure that they do even if the accident wasn't your fault. If defects are found, the insurer may well use them to claim that you have voided the terms of your insurance policy and they won't be paying for the repairs.
